First 10 Raspberry Pi Beta Boards Pass the £10K Mark On eBay!

These Pis are flying off the shelves! At a combined price of £10,408 and with the most expensive board (Serial number #01) fetching £2,500, the Raspberry Pi Foundation will be benefiting greatly from these charity auctions. The foundation aims to put as many of these boards into schools as possible to try to inspire a new breed of tech geeks, a great cause in my opinion! With between 9 hours and 4 days left on the auctions, I’m still sure we’ll be seeing much more money raised and I’ll be sure to post the final totals when they come in.

    • Yea I’ve come across a few devices in this area recently, it seems to be a new emerging category. Im still a fan of the RasPi though, I mean it’s UK based, they’ve got a good ethos, a good community full of ideas, and I’ve already got an ‘if this then that’ task set up to boxcar me the instant they become available ;)
